Bonds are generally use to balance a portfolio. When bonds are traded they often return more that the stated return. Curently our Bond traders' return vary between 20%-40%. The bonds currently being traded are rated investment grade triple A. However, the nature of these bonds CMOs' makes them subject to risk based on interest rates. We often recomend off setting this risk with financial futures.
